Hey Strangers,
As I write this, I’m enjoying a cup of coffee in the middle of the day because daylight savings time has come around once again and utterly wrecked me, lol.
I don’t understand how losing an hour affects me this much, but for the next few days, I will 100% be confused about what day it is.
So, before I ultimately give in to the not knowing, let’s get into it.

I’m almost 10k words into MonsterHouse and have furthered my outline for Strangers # 3. Balancing two projects at once has been new territory, and I’m still trying to find my footing.
On the one hand, I’m glad that MH is kind of pouring out of me. It’s been a while since I’ve worked on an entirely NEW project (aka not Strangers-related). I started querying my adult romantic fantasy in March 2023 (TWO YEARS AGO ALREADY?!), so it’s been that long since I’ve worked on something new and shiny (outside of short stories, but those are a different beast).
On the other hand, I know I should have my sights set on finishing the Strangers series, and I will, I promise! I don’t want to rush the ending, and I need to feel good about it for you all to feel good about it.
We’ll get there, friends.

Life has been chaotic lately, but no events have happened outside of my Barnes & Noble signing on 03/01/25. It was a dream come true to sign at a B&N location and participate in my first YA author signing with three other authors.
The B&N on the NF Blvd has signed copies of both books, and I would love to sell out of them, so if you’re out that way, tell your friends!!! ❤
Also, as an update, Kitty is still fighting the good fight, and we’re just taking it day by day. Please continue sending your good thoughts his way.

Lastly, if you’re local to the Buffalo area, I wanted to spread the word on this upcoming march:

Since last month’s newsletter, I’ve read The Inheritance Games (The Inheritance Games #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Untamed by Glennon Doyle, The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo, and Once Upon a Dark October by Jessie Thomas!
I’m currently reading Ninth House (Alex Stern #1) by Leigh Bardugo.
I can already see I’m starting to slow down now that I’m in drafting mode. There are not enough hours in the day! Thank goodness for audiobooks.

I’m still obsessed with my MonsterHouse Spotify playlist, and I probably will be for the foreseeable future.
But I also recently stumbled upon Talking in Code by Margot & The Nuclear So And So’s, and that’s also been on repeat.

So, funnily enough, there’s a season five of Ghost Whisperer. Why did no one tell me?! Disney only has the first four seasons listed, and since it’s an old show, I assumed they had all of them. Apparently not! So, I have one more season to get through. I’ve also been watching the game show The Floor lately. I’m a week behind, but it’s weirdly addicting.
Lastly, I’ve been neglecting the Mubi app, which holds international and indie films, so I’d really like to try to watch at least one film a week. Hopefully, I’ll have a few films to recommend in the next newsletter!
