Hey Strangers,
I’m sending this out a couple of days early this month since there’s so much to go over. March really took it out of me, so I’m desperately trying to get back into the swing of things. It’s been harder than I expected.
But this past weekend, I dyed my hair purple, scrubbed the house from top to bottom, opened the windows for a small amount of time (it’s still freezing rain near Buffalo, NY as I write this), and lit a sage cleansing candle, so I’m adamant about getting my life back together, lol.
Here we go!

There’s no real news on the Strangers front. I’m still outlining and slowly drafting—a mix of both worlds. I’m up to chapter seven in MonsterHouse, but due to life events, I haven’t written much in the past few weeks.
Onwards and upwards, though, right?
On an exciting front, though, my podcast and written interview with Indiosyncrasy went out this past month. You can listen to the podcast episode through Spotify or YouTube and read my written interview here. (They’re different interviews, so the written is all new questions.)
Additionally, one of the reasons I wanted to ensure this went out early is that Strangers in Our Heads (Strangers # 1) will be FREE this weekend from 04/04-04/08.
It’s part of the Narratess Indie Sale that goes from 04/05-04/07, where you can find nearly 300 other fantasy, sci-fi, and horror eBooks on sale by visiting their sales page.
I extended my sale just a bit longer than theirs to account for time zones, so you can download the eBook for Book One right through Amazon! But make sure you still check out the sale for other books this weekend! Some are free, 99 cents, or $1.99, so you can stock up and be set for quite some time!

I have two book events coming up this month, which is another reason I wanted to ensure this went out early so you have time to save the dates!
Come say hi at either one of these events (or both!). I’ll have both Strangers in Our Heads and Strangers in Our Hearts in stock!
Read It and Eat Book Fair will feature local authors, bookstores, and book vendors. You can also grab some food while supporting a local non-profit (FeedMore WNY) through their charity basket raffle.
Indie Bookstore Day at Lock City Books will have other local authors, live music, and some adoptable cats you can snuggle with!
Info in the graphics below!

On March 17th, Kitty passed away. </3 My sweet boy lost his battle, and while I’m still absolutely crushed, I’m relieved he’s no longer suffering.

It’s been really hard these past couple of weeks, and my heart still aches whenever I think of our final moments together. I’m honored that he went peacefully while lying on my chest, wrapped up in my arms.
He will always be my buddy, and I’ll cherish the 12 years we had together.

Since last month’s newsletter, I’ve read Ninth House (Alex Stern #1) by Leigh Bardugo, Sunrise On The Reaping (The Hunger Games #0.5) by Suzanne Collins, and Cilka’s Journey (The Tattooist of Auschwitz #2) by Heather Morris.
I’m currently reading All The Whys Of Delilah’s Demise by Neve Maslakovic and The Hawthorne Legacy (The Inheritance Games #2) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

Mumford & Sons released a new album last week, so I’ve mostly been listening to that, along with a song my husband introduced me to: Lost in the Cold by Twiddle.

My husband and I have an exchange program of sorts for dinner and late-night TV shows. He’s introducing me to all the Star Treks (currently on Deep Space Nine and Voyager) while I show him Supernatural. Later at night, his show is Stargate, while mine was White Collar. But we’ve finally finished the series (thank goodness), so I introduced him to Arrow the other night. I haven’t watched this show since it came out like 13 years ago, and I’m shocked it’s held up (for CW), and how much I remember, lol.
We also started The Studio recently, which is AMAZING. I highly recommend it. We’re only on episode three, and it’s a masterpiece.

Genesis Belle would do anything to leave the monster hunting world behind—even make a deal with one of the world’s most accomplished hunters: her mother. All she has to do is kill the creature lurking in the shadows of their town before her mom does. If she wins, she can follow her cross-country road trip dreams without slaying monsters on the way, but if she loses, she’ll have to keep working at a hunting outpost masquerading as a dingy diner.
Genesis is sure this bet will be what she needs to get out of her hometown… continue reading.
