Hey Strangers,
I can’t believe another month has gone by already! Let’s get into it!

STRANGERS IN OUR HEARTS IS COMPLETE (sort of). I’ve finished editing, so now a few beta readers are looking it over to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s so SO close.
You can still add Strangers # 2 on Goodreads and Storygraph as we approach the publication date!

It’s finally August, so my first book festival is this month! Come see me at Artpark on 08/31. I’ll be giving away some things at my booth!

July brought the cover reveal for Strangers in Our Hearts (Strangers # 2)! Here it is, again, if you’ve somehow missed it!

I also swung by the Lockport Library today and saw my book on their shelf!!!!! Totally surreal moment.
I spent so many nights on the third floor, tucked away at a desk, whether working on college assignments or writing.
It’s come full circle seeing my first book on their shelf. ❤
AND! Most exciting yet, I’ve had another short story published last month. “Onwards and Upwards” is published in The Amazine. You can read it here. It’s a metaphor for a writer trying to make it in the publishing industry.

Since the last newsletter, I finished Your Blood, My Bones by Kelly Andrew, A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher, Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Wayward Daughter by Alyssa Frace, and I’m currently reading Together We Rot by Skyla Arndt!
(Funny how my reading skyrockets after I’m finally “done” with book stuff. Lol.)

The entire album As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again by The Decemberists is SO GOOD. It’s a no-skip album, and “Don’t Go to the Woods” is a main source of inspiration for a book that’s been sitting on the back burner, waiting to be written.

I’m the worst. Haven’t really watched anything in another month. Still want to catch up on The Bear, though. Also excited for the upcoming last season of The Umbrella Academy!
Chris and I did start The Gentlemen, though (the one with Theo James). We’re only a few episodes in, but I’m obsessed. It’s making me want to write something even though it’s entirely out of my genre, so I don’t even know where I’d begin. Maybe someday!
