Hey Strangers,
I’m sending this a bit late, but there’s a good reason for that! I’ve been busy hitting my deadline, but more on that below.

STRANGERS # 3 IS OFFICIALLY WRITTEN AND TURNED IN TO MY EDITOR!

I really can’t put into words how relieved I am. Strangers in Our Hearts came out nearly two years ago already, and it took this long to crank out the end to Gemma and Theo’s trilogy.
I even wrote an entirely unrelated novel in the meantime (which I’m currently querying agents with), but S3 is finally finished*
*Two rounds of edits still to come with my editor, so done is a relative term, haha.
But at least the first and second drafts are finished! WHEW!
Now we get to plan the fun stuff! I’ll start rolling out a title reveal, publication date, book cover reveal, and more as we get closer to the new year. I’ll also be doing some fun games and challenges in Discord, so if you want to join the Street Team, make sure you fill out an application! If you sign up and are accepted, you’ll also get access to a Book Three ARC!
But in the meantime… I can show you my most recent character art. eyes emoji
CHARACTER ART REVEAL TIME!
rosiesfables on Instagram does my character art for me, and for each book, I get three characters made. Thanks to this latest round, the chaos crew is finally complete, and I’m so freaking happy!
Book one: Gemma, Theo, and Draven
Book two: Nora, Zay, and Caleb
Book three: *drum roll* Simone, Amber, and Elise

AND LOOK AT ALL OF THEM TOGETHER! Eeeeee!

I could honestly stare at them all day. Rosie is AMAZING to work with, and I highly suggest giving her a follow over on IG!

Things are not great on the health front. I spoke previously about needing an iron infusion already, but now I’m heading back to the neurologist since I’m having sporadic hemiplegic migraines. Which, in layperson’s terms, basically means I’m having stroke-like symptoms whenever I have a migraine. It’s not great! So, more MRIs and lab work to come to try to get some answers.
I might someday dive deeper and talk about what it was like writing a book this summer while I felt like my body was giving up on me, but I’m not sure anyone really cares about the not-fun stuff, so I might just pretend I never wrote that! We shall see. But in the meantime, know I’m hoping for some health answers soon!
On a fun note: It’s finally October, and I’m heading to Vegas soon! This will be my first real vacation since my last trip to Vegas, which was… 2022? So, I’m definitely looking forward to this break.
I’ve turned in my book; by then, my medical tests will be behind me, and hopefully I’ll have my answers. Then I’ll be in Vegas for five days (two are travel days), so I’m going on a hiatus. I’m deleting ALL social media apps off my phone and will not be checking anything! Except maybe email, because, you know, I’m still a querying writer and all.

Since last month’s newsletter, I’ve read The Brothers Hawthorne by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, The Flayed Man by Chloe Lauter, The Undead Truth of Us by Britney S. Lewis, and House of Hearts by Skyla Arndt.
I’m currently reading A Sea of Worlds by Becca Mionis.

Dead Poet Society released their album Monarch last week, and I’ve had it on repeat since. But Basht also released their first album, Poor Advice, today, so I’ll be listening to that for AT LEAST the rest of the day.

I can’t stop watching ER, especially now that my book is turned in, and I have such grievances with this show, but I’m like 20 years too late to have an audience to air them to, haha. I might have to find some Reddit threads.
